ALLSTATE

I AM A FIELD ADJUSTER OUT OF ALLSTATES LONE STAR AUTO MCO IN HOUSTON TX, I HAVE WORK FOR ALLSTATE FOR OVER EIGHT YEARS & WAS JUST LAYED OFF ON 4/20/10 ALONG WITH 122 OTHER EMPLOYEE'S.....INCLUDING MGRS & ADJUSTERS OF WHICH SOME HAD OVER 25YRS OR LONGER WITH THE COMPANY. THE MANAGMENT AT THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN, ALLSTATE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS EMPLOYEE'S WHAT SO EVER.....THE CEO TOM WILSON HAS MADE AROUND $10 MILLION PLUS THE LAST THREE YEARS.....ALLSTATE BEATS DOWN EMPLOYEE'S BY HAVING GOALS THAT ARE ABSOLUTLY UNATTAINABLE........FIELD EMPLOYEE'S ARE GIVEN TOO MUCH WORK & ARE CONSTANTLY WORKING OVER TIME & NOT GETTING PAID AS ALLSTATE WILL NOT PAY IT......THE MCM IS THE WORST TWO FACED F#@#$R AS HE WILL HAVE FIELD ADJUSTERS TARGETED BY THE RE-INSPECTORS WHO'S JOB IS TO KEEP THE TECHS NUMBERS LOW SO THEY CAN BE PUT ON PERFORMANCE MANAGMENT & BE SCREWED OUT OF RAISES OR EVEN WORSE, TERMINATION......GETTING LAYED OFF FROM ALLSTATE MAY BE THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME....ITS LIKE A FREE PARDON FROM HELL.

Hmmmm funny that Allstate says you are in good hands, but apparently they don't stand behind what they say! They overcharged us by 2x more than other places quoted for the exact same coverage, refused to refund our payment we had just made when we switch companies and THEN on top of that, decided to tell us that we OWED them $15. I wouldn't recommend anyone, much less my worst enemy to Allstate.

As a 20 year employee of Allstate, this is the worst I've ever seen the company treat it's employees. Raises are non existent and the workload unsustainable. Management could care less if you left tomorrow and has no interest whatsoever in the workers.

Working for Allstate

I worked for Allstate for 7 years. I received several awards and performance bonuses. I shared several ideas, which a key manager took and was promoted for. This idea made the company money. I was a dedicated worker and my last year there was challenging due to personal issues. Instead of the company helping me, they decided to just forget all my years of great work and allowed the manager to recomend termination. I have also noticed the great deal of outsourcing jobs as other companies due. They will have you train someone in Ireland and if you don't you will lose your job and when you do , you lose it anyway. They also practice age discrimination. It is a joke that they show new comers a retirement package when they know as soon as you turn 50 they are going to try to get rid of you.

worthless insurance

After being Allstate customers for 6 years we filed our first claim after a June 2009 hail storm. They claimed the damage was from a roof defect, in spite of other damage to our house and that 75% of our immediate neighbors were getting new roofs. They have been dishonest at every opportunity, even going so far as to have an inspection done on our roof without our permission or knowledge. We have yet to see any valid documentation about our claim from them. Allstate is a horrible company, you are in good hands until you file a claim.

Layoffs

I'm was a long term employee was laid off, multiple offices across the country are closing. It doesn't matter if you have in 6 months or 40 plus years. The bottom line is saving money and cutting corners in anyway shape or form. They said that it was to better serve the customers and the agents. How can you better serve customers and agents while closing the claims office?
