I was laidoff also after working in the coal industry for a few years, while the more recent hires are kept! From what I can see, the previous company was alot better and knew how to manage!

Alpha bought us out said every thing would be better nothing would would be taken.Since then they have done nothing but take.Bonuses Insurance overtime Layoffs.They want to be the preffered company to work for. They have a weird way of showing it. C-E-O BONUS six hundred thousand . SALARY OVER SIX MILLION AYEAR. usuck

need to take care of the employees,put the production and safety bonus back in effect,you assholes are making lots of money pass it on down.

Ok people I worked for Massey for 3 years and I proudly work for alpha now I've been on rt 3 the entire time yea Massey weathers storms but coal has never seen a storm like this this company employs more people than any other producer in the nation and they have done right even by the ones that just deserved a swift boot in the a.. Out the door and if that offends you then you shoul look deep inside because you are probably one of those people my Crew ran 460 foot last night all flys up curtain stayed in the face one row out all back ups tight no deep cuts only a few double cuts only ate dust once and my parameters were perfect and all of that is the result of strong hard working men doing their job runnin right and not cring like a kid in the sand box who smells urine put your boots on grab your hard hat and remember how proud you felt every day when your face was coal covered and little kids smiled and your family said thank you for what you do and ps if u r layed off sell that 69,000 thruck and find another job

What does seniority mean 2 this company?? and your Promise of insurance till the end of the year, well as of 9-1-12 I have had no insurance sent my money in and still have none maybe a lawyer could get some papers flowing...just saying if your Word is no Good how good are U?????????
