Rachel,Just waetnd to include this because I know hearing 144 of the layoffs were administrative made me more comfortable being that I went through the layoff notice fiasco last year. (Of course not that I want them to be laid off, but that the over 500 number includes both teachers and admin.) Yesterday Superintendent Carlos Garcia officially announced the number of layoff notices that he intends to send out to certificated staff in the district. With Board of Education approval, he will send notices out to approximately 362 teachers and 144 administrators. -UESF enews sent 2-24-09-Andrea
The best line I have heard reltnecy about this election is that for the first time in the history of this country we cannot say for certain that the next president will be a white male. I think that is great and more evidence of the Power of the People.
