I'll be one happy dude when I can finally turn in my notice at Capital One. I'm smart, college educated and have about 10 yrs of work experience. Last three years there have been hell and it's getting worse. Managers are all in their little club and go out drinking, socializing, but no "team" time. However, other departments do team events monthly or quarterly.
My department and others are regularly given more work and less time to perform it, stay on top of changes, which occur daily, and watch your back. People have been escorted out of the building in a NY second for looking at someone the wrong way, not shaking a hand firm enough or disagreeing (a civil disagreement) with a team manager.
They say they care about their employees, but that is BS. I was penalized and nearly lost my job when my youngest was hospitalized for 3 weeks and in the ICU. He was near death. When I came back they wrote me up, even though I used my own vacation time and dock time. I was written up for not making quota and put on phase. This was during the holidays and meant no bonus money. Nice...
Managers there will sometimes decimate nearly an entire team, firing five, seven or nine people, to make themselves look good. It happens all the time!
Run, don't walk, away from any offer that comes from these guys. My five promotions in six years just meant a lot more work and less money each time. Made more in my first year than my last. I would only recommend this company to an enemy or someone I wished would go to hell.

If you are indeed a brown noser, you'll go far there. Social at every opportunity- party every night and every weekend, travel to exotic plaes (India) and you'll end up in mgmt. Don't question anything and ask, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

Harassing phone calls at work won't stop despite being told to do so repeatedly. I am making a complaint in writing to AG's office.

Why have a customer service, when the only answer I get from them is " I can not help you", "Call back in a few days/weeks and I might be able to help you then".
