It is a large organization and can take longer to run through the chain. Seniority matters more than results. Bad for young talents.

Managers are laid back don't work at all they get offended very quickly very egoistic team.. Over staffed in every way... Full time employees are always in meetings they say they are working on great architecture but if they get laid off they don't get any job outside... Lay off in Cisco is more political than performance based...most of the people who got caught in lay off are lucky i can say as their stocks expenses for directors and VPS and managers are more... If the engineer is not performing he will become project manager or operational managers ...
Task is emailed by manager it to his project manager and PM emails that to lead engineer and lead engineer forwards to consultant or engineer.... who ever works keep working who is lead will be lead.
Manager will say you are not supposed to talk but to lead and lead doesn't know what he is doing he has to make sure his consultants work and get him .credit...
very political company to work in... as long as you are sticking to company key words collaborate and networking ... meaning keep your lead happy and do a lot of work you are there in the job... even though your lead is dumb you follow and make him happy never show any intention to grow then you survive...
Management is great if the person cannot be good technically but talk a lot and very political then they are made managers immediately....
This company got lot of money management thinks they can throw a lot of money and get the things done by over staffing because they know they full time employees are in-efficient.
