I HAVE WORKED FOR ANOTHER RAILROAD FOR 34 YEARS. ONE TIME I WAS GIVEN 16 MINUTES NOTICE THAT I WAS TO BE FURLOUGHED. I DID NOT TURN A WHEEL FOR 7 MONTHS. I LEARNED RIGHT THEN THAT THEY JUST DONT CARE. NOW I DONT EITHER. THE IMPORTANT DAY IS PAYDAY!

The pay is not really that good compared to other class 1 railroads and the way they treat their TYE employees is horrible. We often say "No good deed goes unpunished" no matter what you might do the management will always find fault and fire you. No other business would treat the employees that make 90% of the money like the worst employee at the business but that is how we are treated everyday. The management does not care for their employees at all. You can ask any other TYE employee and they will tell you about the management hiding in the bushes.
The company has no vision or values for the bases of their behavior. They have lost sight at railroading and seem to be losing business as fast as they can. The ship is without a rudder and is tilting senior management needs to monitor mid management and make their behavior accountable.
