Although I’ve been with the team for 2 years, I hated to shop online, for one simple reason! I have been looked like a cat dragged in. Majority to times you got a thing you never wanted, rest of the times you pay excessively. Believe me the beauty of the online shopping is only skin deep. You would probably say why people are attracting towards it so rapidly, only because of the hassle free life what everybody is looking for.

Management does a good job of communicating the company's business model changes and targeting growth. The company as a whole is stable and growing, even with current economic troubles. Corporate culture is good, most senior management has an open-door policy and there are numerous employee activities available.

Paypal layoffs

Got laid off from the Paypal unit -- my director had it in for me and I new this would come. Paypal still has a lot of politics between the old and the new team and many people like me get stuck in the middle. At bad times like this if you do not belong to either of the strong groups .. you are up s**t creek and your name gets on "the list" ...

eBay layoffs

Despite being profitable constantly, management constantly looks for more ways to cut down number of employees often. People give their best but no recognition for their work and efforts; instead they are given boot because they worked hard, Huh!
There are many re-orgs all the time and your entire group can be laid off. Some managers I've worked with are excellent. Most managers I've met seem to be afraid to have opinions of their own or to stand up for their workers. The only frustrating point is the fear of losing job anytime.
