Recent Tells/Reviews on Farmer Brothers Co.

Farmer brothers was a horrible place for me to work. They ripped me off for thousands of dollars lying about my insurance polices and never giving any incentive or raises. I am in debt because of them. The HR department did horrible things to me and my family and I was judged and critized upon my exit " interview". I know now that it was a grave injustice and would never allow myself to be treated so horribly again.

Yes farmers brothers is a horrible place to work - HR is really cold hearted department!

Tough to build a good sales culture when you can't relate to your front-line reps.
Get serious about the internal promotion/interview process.

New developments

It has been reported that the CEO of Farmer Brothers is gone and speculation that another company is looking to buy Farmer Brothers. Since March 2011 there have been numerous layoffs, accounts have gone to other companies, morale is low and the overall sentiment on their message boards is to get a fresh start with management in Torrence. The merger with Sara Lee was clearly more of an undertaking than what Farmer Brothers expected. I only hope that the company can right their ship before we see more layoffs, morale sinking to an all time low, and pay and benefits force more people to seek other employment. All I can say is, I am afraid the future for Farmer Brothers is something we should all be concerned about.

Do you see a pattern?

Reading all these reviews about Farmer Brothers begs me to ask, if this company was a football team, Would they be a winning team? Between low morale, poor management, and wasteful spending, anyone who looks at this company can see a bad pattern. Do you? If everyone who has a concern with the company would get together and take a stand, I think the pattern could shift. Don't let your voices be silenced. In the words of Knute Rockne, " let's win one for the gipper!" Hu rah!!

Join the team

I want to invite anyone who works at FB and feels that they are being unfairly judged by other employees who criticize them by posting their thoughts on a message board to consider getting involved with the union. If the people who post their unhappiness about the company bonded together, we would have a voice to get some of the issues I've read in these posts addressed by corporate.
I don't advocate unions, but in this situation, this may be an option. Protect your jobs, your families, and your future.
