I was laid off by Gilead in the past, after helping them in NDA submission and negotiation in the last day with FDA. The submission was approved. I considered it was Gilead's lost, as I can bring my experiences to other company.

We are losing work and life balance!

In recent days, we’ve got immense pressure to respond to the remedy for swine flu, as UN has declared the level 5 threat for that. I remember that it was quite a panic created all over the nation with no time. And upto some extent, I would say yes, it was indeed a panic condition. But, thing I really want to appreciate that company has responded in accordance to their motto and objective that, employees are our greatest asset. It was equally cherished by all corners of the employment base that at no point of time we felt any undue pressure or threats. Bravo! Full marks for that.

A very driven company

The company constantly goes for the homerun swing in terms of their strategy. It's an intense place and if you're not a hard-worker, don't bother to be here. The industry is redefining itself now and for the past few years and the employees are suffering to keep their jobs. Senior management is sometimes inaccessible, in a way they seem to be making decisions on their own and there is a much subdivided organization. But I think and feel there are strategies in place to make this better, so I am optimistic for now. If you think I am a disgruntled slacker, you are wrong.
