i loved my job at GMAC/Semperian, but management there since 2006 is poor. management seems to care more about self than about quality and their own financial satisfaction and company bottom line. There is a bottomless pit attituded rathan responsible spending. There is a want priority spending attitude rather than a responsible need spending attitude resulting in very large wasted needless spending. Plus, promotions are based more on politics, race, gender, brown nosing rather than merit and qualifications. I have much more to say , but will stop.

Brand name is good and trustworthy among the customers. Local managers are not helpful

I love the new and innovative ways we as a company are trying to do that.

If you're looking for a job avoid this company at all cost. They have laid off thousands of employees and closed mutiple offices throughout the country and have little regard for their employees. Still owe billions in tarp money and will have to compete with GM and Chrysler once they are up and running with their own captive finance companies.

Hello all,
My husband is transferring to overseas and we bought a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee a month ago. We need a shipboard permission so we can ship our vehicle but Mr.Tim Gibbs, VP of GMAC Semperian DENIED our request saying the account was new and we were a liability and we couldn't be hold accountable. They also told us to pay off the whole 34K which we don't have now. If I had that kind of cash I would have bought that Jeep for less price!!!
Please if anyone is out there to help, do so... We need that permission by the end of this week!!!

semperian gmac is slowly going down because of this one guy who knows nothing but to terminate the best collectors on the floor.

i was terminated. and my case was not even terminable. it was my first offense and i should only be signing a final written reprimand and yet, they terminated me. that's so unfair. ive been with collections for almost three years and this is how they treated me. its unfair.

The only thing that kept me staying there as long as I did was the companionship and quality of my co-workers. As the whole world now knows with the CEOs of Big 3 begging for bailout, senior mgmt at GMAC have been stuck in the same old bad concepts/outdated technology for years now. It’s incompetency at best.

On the career side, there are not enough opportunities for professionals at GMAC. No recognition of high performance, work was horrible and no challenging tasks to work to show your stuff. They also did a poor job of realizing and stroking individual achievements and were not fair in rating people. Ok so now you know I did a good thing moving on .. I convinced myself again just writing this – man this site is therapeutic
