There is a disconnect between upper management and individual employees. I feel that the management doesn't care as much now.

how long to wait for your severance pay ?

HP as a company is a ruthless entity whose only concern is the pad their pockets off the hard work of their employees. Small if no raises, bonuses, maybe, long hours..... They let the hard working employees go and the brain dead remain on the job...go figure.... I was with the company when it was Compaq.... a great company who cared about their employees which made the employees want to succeed and thus the company succeeded.
I worked there for 12 years and when my job was offshored, not 1 year later I had some overseas person wanting to give me the job back as a contractor for 15.00 an hour... Give me a break, I told him to kiss my ass!!! I own my own business now, so in hindsight getting laid off from HP was the best thing that ever happened to me. Get out if you can, don't let the pay check control your destiny, there are better places to work for who care about you as the employee, HP does not!!!!

HP is a nice place to work and major credit goes to its people, not the management.
