Limited career growth, and some favoritism as far as promotions

about
Management wastes money and resources and then gets promoted. The executives here don't always do what they say they are going to do. We are very overloaded with work. Being a mature worker, there is not a lot of room for advancement.

IBM earnings per share

about
Shareholders were on the seventh heaven when IBM announced that they are forecasting to grow their earnings from $6 to $9 by the end of 2010 and of course it happened by the mid of this year. But forecasting long on earning in this tight economy doesn't seem suitable. IBM directors should accept the ground realities that US market is down due to recession and will take time to recover.

I can only say that ibm is a pathetic place to work. I've never been more unhappy in my life. Everything is bottom line oriented and does nothing but hurt employees. The CEO Swammeee Palmicrappo does not care about employees or customers. The products they make SUCK. Please do not even consider working for these scumbags.

Value System

about
The company talks too much of its value system. But its managers will lie to customers, employees and vendors at every possible opportunity

IBM really really sucks

about
Awful place to work now, overworked, unpaid, incompetent and plain old mean management. No training, no advancement (unless you're management or management's buddy), no real pay increases or bonuses. Unless you enjoy suffering and have absolutely no self-respect, STAY AWAY FROM IBM.

Not a particularly fun place to work. The company is pretty far behind the times technologically. They're still doing that boring old J2EE nonsense.

We are top innovators in the industry. In 1997, IBM recommended that its employees get out onto the Net – at a time when many companies were seeking to restrict their employees' Internet access. We continue to advocate IBMers' responsible involvement today in this new, rapidly growing space of relationship, learning and collaboration. The reasons were eminent; diversity brings the difference.

They don't know what they are doing

about
I cannot believe how incompetent the management is in this company. I know preschoolers who have more tact. Ridiculous.
