Rapid desperate salon changes

Lets begin with the elimination of the full time receptionists. This decision indicates that the "Salon Team" managers have no understanding nor appreciation for the skills and expertise these folks possess. They not only answer phones- every call could be $$/ appointments; they have product knowledge:which sets us apart from shopping at Walgreen. They calm the nervous client, they neutralize the tension of the unhappy one .They are the PR people, the Face of the salon, the consistency people treasure in the face of all the silly, petty, random changes happening-constantly, at JCP.

Shoppers have been frustrated since RJ took the helm, why upset the loyal retail product buyers and salon clients by eliminating the helpful Front Of The House Pros and plugging in any novice stylist whose only desire is to get behind the chair-make some tips- and wish that the Phone Stops Ringing and that strangers Stop asking stupid questions about Hair Spray

Anyone who works in a salon understands the value of the Receptionist.

This decision was not thought through. If allowed to be enacted on March 9th, I don't see the Salons being a viable money maker or a desireable place to work. Chaos will abound. Every day will be like a free haircut day(Aug. 2012)((that was another absurd move)) Loyal, talented stylists are worn out by the numerous bad "changes" TRUST THE SYSTEM is an inside joke meaning "Take The Survey//Rate Us-SUPER EXCELLENT AND If You Don't I'm an expedable ,worthless Former Hair Dresser" Is it possible for them to realize their folly before the 9th. Perhaps asking for some input from the folks who do the salon jobs would prevent the inevitable Trial then Error. Again. How long can THEY allow Mr. Johnson to blunder along?

It's not the salon leader who is making these stupid decisions it's Ron Johnson's dumb rich ass who is hell bound to destroy Mr. Penney" company. Goggle it and all your questions will be anserewd

Unfortunatly we had a farwell dinner for our front desk girls and I will tell you, they made it happen. It's easy for "Ron" to make these dumb changes because he already has money, I'm lucky to bring home $ 450. bi/wkly now. He contenues to put round peggs in square wholes. I think he is setting the company up for failur on purpose and at the end he will profit when they buy him out of his multi million $$$ contract

.It's fairly possible that one can be overinsured and could not need too much insurance whilst you think.
One factor lots of individuals have never witnessed is in which their land is often included in the market value on their home, the commonly used to look for the amount to your homeowner's insurance plan.In truth of the matter, the value to your land actually included ?nside your insurance insurance coverage except according to very exceptional circumstances.Privided you can cut it all, do so and you will save over the premiums.
Keep your small incidental claims wherever possible because they'll drive up both the price of your home insurance costs and even car insurance costs. If it's a small loss professionals who log in do without needing it reconditioned for some time or money on your without registering a claim on your own insurance protection plan, then achieve it

Fired after 30 years service

I started with JCPenney in 1982....1982. I started as a holiday temporary, and was retained. I worked hard and long hours, won awards and was promoted many times. I moved from town to town as needed by JCPenney. I was a "lifer". I was proud of the Company Mr. Penney built many years before my time, built on sound business and moral principles. I had a number of offers to go with other companies, and though some paid a bit better, I stayed. I trusted this Company.
Then, suddenly, it was alll destroyed. New CEO Ron Johnson and his merry band of vultures picked it clean. Then flew away, with Johnson's belly full of $53 million. The contempt that Johnson and his minions had for the long term Penney people was clear from the beginning. He was like an evil Willy Wonka, coming up with a new "great Idea" every day, changing course on a whim. When it failed, they kept firing.... must be the old dinosaurs' fault. More failure? The stupid customers don't get it! He left 60,000 people without a job, an iconic business built by a great man is in ruins, and he lost $4 billion. No Ron, it was all yours.

my dear brothers honestly I am very sorry for the situation but in my country here you cannot sack without a good reason on less you are ready to pay penality to the workers that you don't need again.

Shouldn't all of us fired in our 50's protest this blatant age discrimination policy?

Precisely every legacy and new-look IT vendor has its own take on making the uninterrupted data center more programmable via software and less dependent on specialized, proprietary and costly hardware.

Management stealing your money

Does JC Penney have business ethics? They do not know what they mean. Management taking hour and half to two hour lunches? Shopping on company time? Staying in office all day to not interact with customers? Not dealing with employees concerns....stating.."What do you want me to do about it?" Don't know about you, sounds to me the problem lies within. A family place to shop? Ha! Beware!!

JCPenney is a very confusing place to work, since NOT all the management is in the same page. It's vey common to receive different instructions about the same problem. It seems they are just "waking up" and nobody really knows what to do.

J. C. Penney insulted its customer base when it tried to become trendy, cool, and whatever else they were trying to be. And how ridiculous to try and change the name to JCP. Stupid. They fired a lot of good people, and paid the failing CEO an enormous amount of money to go away. Too late, I believe.

Everytime I try to order from JCP website, I get so frustrated because I make all the category selections, ie..size,color, etc.. then when you make a selection from what is within your parameters, you find out that the item is not only NOT available in your size or color, they are completely out of stock!! I've been shopping JCP most of my 51yrs, and it was my go to store, but not anymore! I was so upset with their lack of updating their stock online, that I tried 3 times to e-mail them, each time I clicked the submit button, I got a red warning box, saying Please complete the comment section!! Not only does JCP suck, They don't even want to hear about it!!! Also while I'm complaining, I might as well tell how I feel about their "NEW" pricing system....ITS A SLAP IN THE FACE TO SEASONED SHOPPERS!!! I liked the way they were pricing before this last attempt to "FIX" it!! How many ways can they change how much they charge for their merchandise? The same item is now doubled?? do they think we are idiots?? GET ON THE BALL JCP'S YOU ARE SINKING LIKE A OVER-PRICED ROCK!!!

Well if all you people didn't complain about the prices (which were at the lowest possible price) they wouldn't have changed it back and doubled them. All about the coupons RIGHT!

Yes exactly my experience. I did give it another shot with the Memorial Day coupon. Never again, third time any your out. So much for trying to find the blue jeans I wanted. I thought Penneys carried Gloria Vanderbilt - oh well, looks like Bealls gets my business from now on.

Has anyone else heard about JCP systematically and sneakily beginning to fire store managers? I've heard they have "bench players" all over the country for nearly a year now who are coming in at a lower salary to take jobs.

"Sneakiness" from JcPenney should not surprise anyone anymore. The company really is out of cash, thanks to Ron Johnson that in my store was talked about like if he was "God"... Btw: I work in one of our biggest store, that has and old elevator in one of the entrances, and the escalator right in the middle of the store. Anyway the escalator is broken for over three month now, and the store put a sign in front of it: "closed for cleaning"....What els can we say?....
