I started when JCI was York Intl.

Then, it was a GREAT place to work. Laid back, and mgmt and moral was decent. Then, JCI bought York. It all went downhill from there.
Brought in lousy mgmt, who only had their "favorites", especially if they were young pretty women. All other women were barely noticed. Pay and vacation time were fairly decent, but only because York's policies were much better, and JCI did not want to infuriate all of us by eliminating them.
Got laid off after almost 7 years of hard work, while a foreigner, here on a Visa kept her job, doing the same thing.
I think it may have been a blessing, though. Sounds like they are going downhill everywhere.
