Recent Layoff Tells/Reviews on Kroger

clerk

The Cashiers and clerks are so rude. Tervor I think his name was ring me out when i took him three truns to ring up the right item. He was wasn't nice at all. Like we would care less that I was there, and probably wish that I was in someone else line. He was yelling over me to an older women who like she could be a high cashier since she was not wearing a red shirt like the rest. About this plans to go the mountains. Really rude.. I'm going to Vons next time.

I am much better than before after layoff from Kroger

See guys!
What I believe is that when you are laid off from your job, you need not worry about anything, If you have skills, you may be offered a better position somewhere else.
I experienced it myself, when I got a layoff from Kroger last year, I was so depressed that I thought I would never get a job elsewhere but it was no more than 2 months when I got a better offer than my previous position.
Believe me I am very happy now...

Well, it's kinda weird - I dont agree with the last review - I think I got screwed in the layoff. Now I am/was at a lower level in Cincy so maybe they shafted me - but I juts got a couple of weeks pay and Cobra.

I was on the corporate office and they have been having reductions on and off. Though it is a bummer to be laid of, I think I got a somewhat better deal than my pre-decessors that got laid offlast year. Especialt the health insurance part .... compare notes here?

I'm 28 and was recently laid off from my first real job straight out from college. I have been there for 3 years and it was devastating! I loved the people I worked with, my job was fun, the company was great! This has been the hardest thing I have ever been through. And they did not even give me more than 2 weeks severance pay and the Cobra rates are so much, I don’t think I can afford it. People around me are very supportive and tell me to try to enjoy the time off. Impossible! I have trouble sleeping, I have constant anxiety, and fight back tears everyday. I thought it was stressful finding my first job from college, this doesn't even compare. I'm trying to stay positive.
