Iworked for Lowes for 9yrs.theThe past year when new store manager started,Iwas constantly being called to office for write ups .with false accusations.first write up Iwas not even working that shift.Went to the hr out of store ,because my sm and hr threatend me, saying your on the verege of being fired and no one likes working with you.I was getting sick over this.The hr from out of the store helped it got better,our store had intervention.then things started up again.Iworked alot of ot because we had no help.had a 6000 dollar blind order to cut .Had to beg managment for help so I could get it cut. Got it done store sm gave me a high 5 for getting it done. Went on vacation came back not on schedule , they were training a new girl in my dept.Called me back to office we have to terminate you your not doing your job.Icould not belive it ,that was another lie.Iwas covering for 2 dept.all month because we had no help staying over, and being thanked by my zone manager.WHATS GOING ON WITH LOWES? THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A 9YR ASSOCIATE.WALK THEM OUT LIKE A CRIMINAL.WAS IT RETALIATION FOR GOING OUT OF THE STORE FOR HELP?

My co-workers gave me a lot of respect but management did not. Work environment crappy; benefits so-so, job security, nil, they like to fire people, co-worker competence was great; location okay. Anybody working for them, don't cost them money and be aware of any and all company policies or if you violate them, you can be fired for "willful" misconduct and get no unemployment.

Within the last month, Lowe's has fired 3 men ages 59-63 without cause. Age Discrimination? YOU BET!

I did not realize that Lowes was a company that practiced age discrimination. I furnished over 35 years of experience in the appropriate field to fill a new job at a local store. I have performed the job function better than current employees, while a customer. went to there bullshit, scripted interview and was summarily denied, by some punk that looked like some street person in a Lowes vest. AGE is the only short coming I had. What a bunch of corporate assholes.

I am currently working as a HR personnel in the company for the last five years. My job is to motivate and train people at the company. It's amazing how, if you hate your job, it seems like everyone else does, too. If you are very stressed out, it seems like everyone else is, too. Enthusiasm is contagious. If you're enthusiastic about your job, it's much easier for others to be, too. Also, if you're doing a good job of taking care of yourself and your own job, you'll have much clearer perspective on how others are doing in theirs. A little change in your perspective can bring great enhancement in your work and family, and I advocate the issue very strongly.
