Recent Layoff Tells/Reviews on Northrop Grumman

A bit top heavy with hierarchical structure.

Culture is very old school and slow. Short tem incentives drive long-term failure. Lots of Layoffs whenever downturn comes.

Lack of Leadership

They promote cliquey work environments. Middle management is often unsupportive and plays favorites. Most learn to just go through the motions and not be concerned with doing good work.

Northrop Grumman is a big company

At a company of the size of NG, feeling like an employee number is typical.

Compensation could be better

Management ran like the military and business development did not do a good job

Transferring to another state/layoffs

-I think NG is a good place to work. But if you expect to transfer to another state using the transfer department forget it...you are on your own. The Career Center is a more help than the HR tranfer department.
-As for NG in gerneral...I find it a good place to work. Most of the people are nice and helpful. Benifits are good.
-Layoffs at any company are hard. Like any company it is mostly who know. That is not NG only..it is part of political lifestyle of America.
