PPG Management
about
I retired from PPG in 2009 as a forty year employee. I never thought PPG could go to pot the way it did my last five years at PPG. In the last 5 years of employment, I was lied to, threatened, intimitated, age discrimination was rampant. THe young people they were bringing in, as my boss, was making less than I was. THey would not listen to anyone with experience and the only things that the plant manager wanted to do was cut, cut and more cut. We had a near disaster, it was only adverted by the experienced employees that took over and brought the problem to a good out come. Our great plant manager did not thank anyone. THere was a large chemical spill at this particular plant in 2010 and the place was closed for 3 to 4 days trying to clean up the toxic chemicals. B Y the way they had gotten rid of 90% of the experienced, high paid, people and didn't have the experience to stop the leak.
GOOD LUCK NEW EMPLOYEES AND MAKE CERTAIN YOU KEEP A DIARY OF ANY THING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU WHILE EMPLOYEED AT PPG.
IT USE TO BE A GREAT COMPANY AS CLOSE AS 7 TO 8 YEARS AGO.
