It's difficult to survive here
Since it is a large organization, you may be a number to them. No matter what part you play in, you aren't valued. You should be always ready to kiss your job 'good-bye'.

How awful! I feel for you :-) I was also laid off in 2010, i found a way to be financially free and make my own hours - i have never been happier. Noone will ever tell me my worth because I create that - would you be interested to hear how? pls email me: biological-restoration@hotmail.com

Management is not upto with the newer generation
Being a small organization there are certain minor constraints like overstretching your working hours, having to reach out for help etc.
