As A Tenneco Employee for 18 years. I have seen the Smithville Plant go down hill as a very nice place to work. HR today isn't what HR stands for in Smithville. This isn't what the Team members think there. Someone from higher up then the Smithville plant needs to really take a look at what HR is doing to Smithville, It's all just a put on.

Tenneco is important company for working in the automotive industry in a global basis and also with good and important innovation process. The work is challenging, the environment is good, but it is not for a family-oriented person. Tenneco does invest in their employees as far as training, certifications, and schooling are concerned. I will never forget the friendships and bonds that I have made, mostly the people I worked with were the best group of hard working individuals that I would ever meet.

Working for Tenneco has just been fantastic for me. The confidence that you can gain here from experience and training is incomparable. This is a one of those few companies that employees feel proud to be associated with. People here like to work in teams and management keeps them motivated by offering cash rewards to the better performing employees. Our hats off to the senior management for striking the right balance and keeping the employees so motivated.
