I survived Layoffs

I was on vacation when US layoffs happened 2 weeks ago. I had wondered how the layoff process takes place and how laid off people were informed. It was my first time to see layoff happening. When I returned from my vacations, my coworkers told me that I hadn’t been one out of 1800 (12%) people who were booted. But I feel very sad about all of them who lost their jobs.

TI layoffs

TI is a good company - but mgmt is very very reactive. I ahve been here more than 6 years and have seen this before. We get close to a great success and then they just throw in the towel. Should we be cutting back at this time? Not really but what to do.
