To the person that writes in defense of Vince twice -- rarely does someone know someone entirely. I take this to be the case in your situation, as well as for those who write negatively about him. People are both good and bad...look at someone like Tiger Woods or anyone else for that matter. When you speak that facts that someone states aren't true - provide specific examples. The person stated that he has had financial problems, affairs, and that the 8a program was used incorrectly. Can you refute those? I don't know about the first two, but I do know about the 3rd. His firm didn't do anything anyone else in DC hasn't done, but call a spade a spade.
I don't know Vince too well, but I am curious as to why Vince's company has not had the ability to grow considerably outside of US Customs. His company took off after 9/11 and predominantly because his firm had a blanket purchase agreement with no contract ceiling. That is true...he's been at the right place at the right time. I know, because I compete against Vince's firm. However, that is not wrong....most successful businesses are successful because of hard work and LUCK. However, he did hire a figurehead in order to get the contract. For years the CEO of B&A was non-existent.
But I will also say that I have heard that Vince has been good to a lot of people too....as with anything, depends on where you sit, what you see, and what you are privy to. Lots of people are successful in business, but few people show integrity, good values, and are good TO EVERYONE. It doesn't seem like most people share your viewpoint.
